Housing surveys
The Department conducts a number of housing surveys, including the Survey of English Housing (SEH), the English House Conditions Survey (EHCS) and the Existing Tenants Survey. In April 2008 the EHCS was integrated with the SEH resulting in a new survey known as the English Housing Survey (EHS).

English Housing Condition Survey (EHCS)
Statistics from the EHCS provide information on the composition of the housing stock and its changing condition and energy performance.

Statistics from the Survey of English Housing (SEH) provide a information on housing tenure trends, household accommodation; housing aspirations ; satisfaction with home and neighbourhood; second homes; housing costs; tenancy deposits.

15 Years of the Survey of English Housing (SEH15)
A short report presenting some initial outputs from the SEH15 dataset, a new dataset which combines key household level data from each of the fifteen annual SEH datasets from 1993-94 to 2007-08.

Existing Tenants Survey (ETS) (external link)
A large and comprehensive survey of social housing tenants owned by the Tenant Services Authority.
