This section provides a summary of information on Supporting People Quarterly Client Records and Outcomes statistics. It includes an overview of the data and the latest data tables.
From April 2011 the Department ceased collection of Supporting People Client Record and Outcome data.
As part of the Government's decentralisation agenda, the Department wishes to reduce the time-consuming and expensive burden of numerous data reporting requirements imposed on local authorities by central government.
In addition, Supporting People rolled into Formula Grant from April 2011 increasing authorities' freedom and flexibility in how they are able to spend their funding. As Formula Grant is a single grant that is not divided by any service in any way, there is no specific budget allocation for Supporting People services. Therefore it is no longer appropriate for the Department to continue to collect data returns that specifically correlate to Supporting People services.
The Supporting People Client Records and Outcomes Office at the Centre for Housing Research, University of St Andrews closed at the end of May 2011 following the cancellation of these data collections.
Historical documentation (including data collection forms and guidance and associated research reports) and data will be available from the UK Data Archive (external link) in due course.
Historical data is also available from the St Andrews Centre for Housing Research archived web reporting site (external link).
