Associated and Archived Documents

The Code for Sustainable Homes was launched in December 2006. It called for a step change in the way new homes are designed and constructed, and introduced a 1 to 6 star rating system to communicate their overall sustainability performance. The Code Technical Guide was published in April 2007.

Since then, there have been a number of updates to the Code and a wide range of associated documents. You can find these earlier versions of the Code technical guide and their supportive documentation on the Planning Portal website (see link, top right, under 'On Other Sites').

The following documents should be used only for reference purposes.
