Summary

The Government's proposed scheme design was published in the New Home Bonus consultation on 12 November 2010 which set out the details of the scheme and the rationale for the proposed mechanisms. It also set out how the scheme sits within the wider context of the Government's locally-driven growth strategy.

The consultation was largely technical and aimed primarily at local authorities. We received almost 500 responses in total. A full list of respondents can be found at Annex A of the summary document.
