Summary

On 30 June the Government signed 150 Local Area Agreements (LAAs) with local councils and their partners - 150 unique pledges to local people to improve public services and the quality of life for people living and working in the area concerned.

As set out in Strong and Prosperous Communities (2006) and the subsequent LAA Operational Guidance, it is our intention that each LAA will be subject to an annual review. This guidance note focuses specifically on first year review arrangements and should therefore be seen alongside the existing statutory and operational guidance.
