Summary
This document assesses the impact of abolishing the Standards Board regime, to clarify the law on predetermination to ensure that councillors may speak or vote on matters on which they have previously spoken or campaigned, and to maintain high standards of conduct by introducing a new statutory requirement to register and declare certain personal interests on a publicly available register.
