Summary

This Impact Assessment sets out the proposed changes to Part C (Site preparation and resistance to contaminants and moisture) and provides an analysis of the associated costs and benefits.

The proposal is to amend the guidance in Approved Document C so as to reference the most up-to-date radon maps, in effect, ensuring that the current safety provisions are targeted at the appropriate parts of the country.

This Impact Assessment is a supporting document for Section one of the 2012 Building Regulations consultation, which can be found below in the "Related publications" section.
