Summary
Buildings account for almost half of the energy consumption and carbon emission in the UK. The ways in which we light, heat and use our buildings all contribute to this.
From 6 April 2008 it will be law to provide an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) for all new and newly built homes that are completed after that date. This booklet gives advice on the requirements for new homes.
