Summary

This report sets out the findings of a project to review the processes by which innovative materials, components and structures are assessed for Building Regulations purposes, excluding the usual testing, certification and technical approvals routes. Nine case studies are presented in summary, and the findings of these, together with other observations, are used to develop some general conclusions and some specific recommendations.
