Summary

This research reviews assessment tools for determining infiltration rates used in the design of drainage fields receiving effluent from small wastewater treatment systems, methods for site and soil identification and Geotechnical evaluation of a soil's ability to accept water and effluent. In addition field-testing of packaged wastewater treatment plants (population equivalent less than 50PT) is also reviewed.
